Welcome to the second weekend of Grüne Woche! Today you can once again feast, look and buy to your heart's content. The Hippologica starts this morning with the combined obstacle driving for pair horses in the Animal Hall (Hall 25). In the EventFarm (Hall 3.2), visitors can look forward to a stage program for children and families and Thailand invites you to a traditional Thai massage: sport, culture, relaxation and good food - the perfect Saturday at the Grüne Woche.

With dressage, show jumping, vaulting and obstacle driving, this year's Hippologica presents an even broader equestrian sports program. In addition to the equestrian competition, visitors can also experience cows, sheep, dogs and cats.

The Hippologica tournament, Berlin's largest indoor equestrian sport tournament, will once again take place at Grüne Woche. Demanding competitions up to advanced level in show jumping, dressage and driving invite equestrian sports enthusiasts to watch and share in the excitement in Hall 25. There will also be a presentation of vaulting and a training presentation in dressage and show jumping.

To understand how something works, it helps to take things into your own hands. Whether it's coffee roasting or beeswax cloth, everything starts with trial and error.

If you fancy a coffee while strolling through Saxony, the Reinhardt coffee roasting company is the place to go (Hall 21b/231). Reinhardt has been selling coffee machines since 1993 and has also been a roasting company since 2013. Maik Reinhardt is happy to explain how this came about: As there was hardly anything on offer for roasting machines, the entrepreneur from Burgstädt near Chemnitz wanted to include them in his product range. "Before you sell a machine for something, you need to understand how the process works. And you have to do it yourself," he says.

Why go far away when good things are so close - twelve federal states are not only presenting culinary specialities at Grüne Woche, but also showcasing their travel regions.´

Letting your gaze wander through the Sachsen-Halle feels like a holiday for the eyes. Large landscape photographs on all the walls create longings and draw attention to what is often forgotten: Beautiful destinations can be so close, for example the Markkleeberg Canoe Park for a whitewater rafting adventure, the nature park in the Zittau Mountains or the Elbe Cycle Path, which passes four UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In Hall 21b, visitors can find out about the travel highlights from Saxony at various stands.

Italian cuisine arrived in Germany decades ago. Why it's still worth visiting the stands in Hall 4.2b and what else Southern Europe has to offer.

Endless bowls of delicious ice cream flavours are lined up in long chests - from classic vanilla or mango to "Nocciola", caffè and pistachio to walnut-fig or pomegranate. There are cappuccino and crèpes, brightly coloured wrapped chocolates and many different types of ham and salami. "Yummy, yummy, yummy!" shouts a pizza chef from a corner. A few metres further on, steaming spaghetti is tossed in a wheel of Peccorino cheese and then served with fresh pepper. Strolling through this rear section of Hall 4.2b, you feel as if you are encountering all the delicacies of Italy in a few hundred square metres.
