Du bist hier der Chef

The initiative "Du bist hier der Chef!" creates transparency in the quality and price of food, supports farmers thanks to fair prices, promotes nature conservation, animal welfare and biodiversity with its products and unites all stakeholders - consumers, farmers, industry and trade - towards a new solidarity-based food production and marketing in Germany. Thanks to a unique participatory co-creation process, consumers decide for themselves what is important to them in food, how it should be produced, and help determine the corresponding fair price.

In 2020, the initiative won the Hessian Founder's Prize in the Social Impact category. Its first product - the democratically-elected consumer milk, which has already been available in selected supermarkets for 2 years - was also awarded the Fairness Prize in 2021.

EntuSos

EntoSus

Grilling For the future! Chili Con Grilli and Grillognese are just two of the high-quality products made from cricket mince that EntoSus produces in Bremen. The crickets are bred on the company's own farm according to the circular economy approach and are processed in-house into delicious, sustainable meat substitutes that cannot be visually traced back to insects. The market for insect products is one of the fastest growing markets in agriculture, and not just in the animal feed sector. EntoSus is the only cricket farm in Germany that breeds crickets for human consumption. Thanks to the self-developed breeding concept, production costs have been significantly reduced. Now that the farm concept is in place and product development is in full swing, the next step is to further expand sales in Europe.

Hivesound

HIVESOUND supports beekeepers by monitoring their bee colonies and providing recommendations for action through intelligent assistants. The buzzing of the bees is recorded by inexpensive sensors in the beehive and analyzed with the help of AI. In this way, the health status of the colonies is recognized and recommendations for action are generated for beekeepers. This makes everyday beekeeping easier and saves time and money. The grand vision of HIVESOUND is a worldwide bee monitoring system. All the data collected will be made publicly available as valuable indicators of the state of the environment, from which beekeepers and all of us can benefit (open data).
