Colourful awakening in winter in the Flower Hall (Hall 2.2a)

The tour begins in the 3,000 square metre ‘Berlin Flower Neighbourhood’. Between a sea of flowers and Berlin street art, real spring fever is created here. A 50-metre-long bridge offers a view of a variety of plants, tall trees and a winding stream. At the ‘Blütenbeats’ disco, young and old can dance to music in black light and colourful light shows. If you need a breather afterwards, you can make yourself comfortable in the ‘We love green stuff’ living room and recharge your batteries with a healthy snack from the food truck.

Hands-on farming at the adventure farm (Hall 3.2)

Continue to the Adventure Farm, where four interactive themed trails will guide you through the agriculture of the future. On the ‘Animal’ trail, visitors will learn how animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner and can try out innovative barn technology or test feeding stations. The ‘Technology’ trail fascinates with high-tech agricultural machinery, drones and digital tools such as the tractor simulator. The ‘Nature’ trail is all about biodiversity and flower strips, while little seed bombs can be made to take home. The ‘Soil’ trail invites visitors to experiment and shows how water is stored and erosion is prevented. A special highlight is the scavenger hunt that leads through all the stations. Hard-working explorers receive a collector's cup and refreshments at the end. In addition, a varied stage programme provides entertainment and exciting knowledge transfer.

Experience animals up close in the animal hall (Hall 25) and pet hall (Hall 26)

Our next stop takes us to the Tierhalle 25 and Heimtierhalle 26, where animal lovers will get their money's worth. There are over 150 horses to marvel at in the animal hall - from powerful Black Forest cold-blooded horses to cute Shetland ponies. Plus donkeys, mules and rabbits. On the first weekend (17-19 January), the FN Federal Cold Blood Show takes place, while on the second weekend (24-26 January) the Hippologica impresses with dressage, show jumping competitions and carriage rides. The demonstration ring in Hall 25 offers a varied programme three times a day and visitors can also experience one of the animal welfare stables up close with large drinking troughs, massage brushes and opportunities for the animals to lie down. Guests can also take a live look into the cowshed from the animal hall via a cow cinema.

In the Pet Hall (Hall 26), dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, bees and terrarium inhabitants await pet lovers. Various dog breeds can be learnt about in the activity area. Those with a taste for the exotic will be thrilled by the unusual terrarium and aquarium inhabitants. Several beehives invite visitors to discover the fascinating world of bees up close.

Agriculture of the future in virtual reality (Hall 7.2c)

In Hall 7.2c, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development will use a 360-degree film to show how the global challenges of the food crisis can be overcome. VR glasses will take visitors on a journey to Madagascar, a country that is particularly hard hit by climate change. This allows visitors to experience the effects of climate change first-hand.

In the Grüne Woche app you will find an interactive hall plan to help you find your way around. You can download it from the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
