Street food paradise and FREE FROM area in Hall 1.2

Our tour begins in Street Food Hall 1.2 - right next to the South Entrance, on the left. This is where old Berlin classics shine in new street food splendour: enjoy a knuckle of pork sandwich with Spreewald sauerkraut or a fish sandwich, just like on the Baltic Sea. If you like it cheesy, go for the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato and dill chutney or treat yourself to a mac'n'cheese variation with garlic and thyme crumble. Fancy a little wanderlust? Then let yourself be surprised by Nepalese momos, sweet Cuban churros or Swedish hot dog wraps. Sit down, relax and be refreshed with a cucumber lemonade or a Spreewald weed drink.

The next stop gives you a taste of the future of sustainable nutrition: alternative protein sources are in the spotlight in the new free-from area. Try roasted crickets - used in pasta sauces and spreads - or discover tofu made from chickpeas with an umami flavour. The trend colour green will still be popular in 2025: vegan avocado liqueur and sugar-free, vegan halva with a pistachio topping provide the sweet finishing touch before you move on.

Still not enough wanderlust? Then take a trip around the world in halls 8.2, 11.2 and 18.

Here, international exhibitors from almost 60 countries will be presenting local delicacies.

Have you ever tried Finnish chanterelle chocolate or black garlic from Estonia? No? Then a voyage of discovery through the natural flavours of Scandinavia awaits you in Hall 8.2. Try Swedish hemp pizza cheese, vegan savoury filled cakes that reinterpret traditional Nordic baking and taste Finnish forest flavours in spruce tip syrup. The range is complemented by honey with forest cranberries from Estonia and ‘Nordic lemon’ in a wide variety of flavours: Whether as a juice (spritzer) or as crisps for snacking.

We continue in Hall 11.2, where you can stock up on Georgian spices and sauces, fruity juices or churtchela - a sweet speciality made from nuts dipped in grape juice dough and dried. From the Czech Republic, there are traditional trdelník - a sweet, spiral-shaped yeast dough pastry - and even insects in chocolate for the brave. Fancy something savoury? Then try crispy cheese crisps from Poland or let yourself be surprised by beef schnitzel cake in a jar with honey, mint and cinnamon. Further on in Hall 18, things get exotic: Thai classics such as Pad Thai and sticky rice with mango await you here.

Trend meets tradition: regional variety from Germany in Halls 20 - 23; 5.2a

In Hall 20, you can feast your way through a variety of creative potato creations from Lower Saxony: From crispy roast potatoes with kale pesto to potato sushi. If you fancy an alternative to potatoes, you can try chips made from plantains. Fancy something refreshing? Then try the algae-based vegan ice cream. Afterwards, you can warm up again with tea in a sustainable spoon before moving on.

Fermented food will be on everyone's lips in 2025! Probiotic creations from Saxony await you in Hall 21: kimchi, kefir and kombucha as a soft drink or as an alternative to wine - a real boost for your intestinal flora and the environment. If you want even more probiotics, you can discover fermented tea pesto from Berlin in Hall 22. For those who prefer to snack, there are also cupcakes, cake pops, macarons and cinnamon rolls.

Baden-Württemberg will provide a savoury finale with traditional delicacies in Hall 5.2a. Here you can enjoy a Maultaschenburger, Krautschupfnudeln or a savoury sweet potato soup and round it all off with a glass of wine.

In the Grüne Woche app you will find an interactive hall plan to help you find your way around. You can download it from the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
