15th Global Forum for Food and Agriculture
January 18-21, 2023 | Venue: a.o. CityCube Berlin
"Transforming Food Systems: A global response to multiple crises" - under this motto, Cem Özdemir, Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture invites around 2,000 experts to the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) in Berlin. The GFFA is the leading international conference on key issues for the future of the global agricultural and food sector. The political highlight of the meeting is the world's largest informal conference of agriculture ministers on January 21, 2023, where some 70 agriculture ministers from around the world will adopt a joint political communiqué.

Future Forum Rural Development: Countryside.Can.Climate
25 and 26 January 2023 | Venue: CityCube Berlin
The Future Forum Rural Development is the largest national forum for rural development issues in Germany. It is hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) as part of the International Green Week. "Land.Kann.Klima." is this year's motto. Around 1,200 stakeholders from politics, administration, institutions, associations, science and civil society will discuss many facets of climate protection in rural areas in around 30 specialist forums.

20th International Conference on renweable mobility "Fuels of the Future"
23 and 24 January 2023 | Venue: CityCube Berlin
The International Congress "Fuels of the Future" is the leading event of the German, European and international biofuel industry and an important discussion forum for the development of renewable mobility. Over two days, around 600 experts from the raw materials collection and processing, biofuel, petroleum and automotive industries, the chemical industry, the transport and logistics sector, certification systems, as well as from politics, science and research will meet at the IGW.

GAA-Conference: Technology is key -Eastern Europe and Central Asia as contributors to global food security

Eastern Europe and Central Asia have proven over the last decade that they are capable of contributing to global food security. To exploit the potential for future production, the use of modern agricultural technologies is necessary. On January 20, 2023, the German Agribusiness Alliance (GAA) will discuss the role of Eastern Europe and Central Asia in global food security with the ministers of agriculture from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, among others.

Startup-Days
24 and 25 January 2023 | Venue: Event Farm (Hall 3.2)
10 selected startups from the agricultural and food industry will present innovative Products and Services at the fifth IGW Startup Days. Here, the young entrepeneurs compete to convince the expert jury of their ideas. For the first time, the pitches at which the startups will present themselves will take place on the stage of the ErlebnisBauernhof and are thus open to both trade and private visitors. The pitches will be supplemented by talk rounds and keynote speeches. More about our Startup-Days - read here.
Regional-Star Award
January 26, 2023 | Venue: Marshall House
The trade journal Lebensmittel Praxis and the Green Week will award the industry prize "Regional-Star" in 2023. The best concepts for marketing regional products that are convincing under sustainable aspects (ecologically sensible, socially responsible and economically successful) will be honored.
The prize will be awarded in the categories of cooperation, innovation, presentation and organization. The award ceremony will take place on January 26 at the Green Week. Further information on the event: Regional-Star Award.
Future Workshop Agriculture and Food Industry 2023
January 25, 2023 | Venue: CityCube Berlin
Whether business initiation, job exchange or simply good conversations with interesting people - the Lower Saxony Evening at the International Green Week has become a tradition. On January 25, 2023, around 1,600 guests will meet at the invitation of the Marketinggesellschaft der niedersächsischen Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft e. V. for the Future Workshop.
