Organic? Of course!

The German government is striving for sustainable and future-proof agriculture in Germany - agriculture in which farmers can live off their yields and which is also environmentally, animal and climate-friendly. This is why 30 per cent of agricultural land is to be farmed organically by 2030. The Organic Strategy 2030 of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) sets the necessary framework conditions to achieve this goal.

With the information campaign "Organic? Of course!", which is part of the Organic Strategy 2030, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture provides information about the EU organic logo and the added value of the organic farming and food industry. Questions will also be answered by those at the stand of the Federal Organic Farming Programme (BÖL) at stand 160 in Organic Hall 22a. Inform, discuss, taste and linger - the BÖL trade fair presence will once again present "the best of organic" at the Green Week.

Under the motto "Organic? Of course!" the BÖL team invites visitors, trade visitors and the media to exchange ideas: Can I really rely on organic? Are animals really kept differently in organic farming? Does organic really ensure more biodiversity? Are there really fewer additives in organic food? What about climate and soil protection? And how can I clearly recognise organic food? Visitors to the fair will be able to discuss these issues with farmers from the network of organic demonstration farms, organic research teams, representatives from organic towns, the organic value chain, the organic label information centre and top organic chefs.

Whether at mini-workshops, biscuit tests or the magnetic game "Which mandatory labelling belongs on the packaging?" - visitors to the trade fair can look forward to the best "biotainment" and lots of tasty samples.

The live programme on stage promises exciting debates and instructive workshops to join in and try out. Planting bee-friendly flower boxes, peat-free gardening and growing vegetables on the city balcony are just a few examples. In entertaining cookery shows, there will be tasty snacks from top BIO chefs to try and "best leftover tips" to cook.

Under #BioNaLogo, #30bis2030, #GrüneWoche, #GW2024, #Biohoefe, all interested parties are invited to follow, share and comment on the BÖL trade fair appearance via Instagram or on X.
